The Fairy Woods
Our small, natural woodland is available to explore during Village opening hours. Enjoy a woodland walk through shady trees, build dens, hunt for hidden fairy doors and meet our two friendly pigs Sandra and Sower. Well behaved four-legged friends are very welcome on leads.

Our Village
Heart of the Country Village began life as a traditional Staffordshire farmstead, with its red-brick buildings and Dutch barns used for cattle, lambing and potato storage. The Stubbs family has farmed the land for over 100 years, and while Simon Stubbs and his father continued farming, Simon’s wife Lesley began transforming part of the farm into what would become Heart of the Country Village. Today, the character of the original farm buildings remains an important part of the Village and its story.
